Security Services

The Castro CBD contracts with S.F. Patrol Special Police to provide additional security for our public places. The Castro CBD contributes to the neighborhood effort to hire one Patrol Special officer to walk the beat in the neighborhood, on Market Street from Church to Castro, Castro St. to 19th St. and 18th St. from Hartford to Eureka Streets. The CBD's contribution is for the Patrol Special officer to specifically walk through and monitor activity at the Jane Warner Plaza (17th and Castro St.) and the Harvey Milk Plaza (plaza above the Castro MUNI station), and to monitor activity at the public restroom on the north side of Market St. in front of the Safeway shopping center, between Dolores St. and Church St. Monthly reports of the Patrol Special's work are provided on this website.
